Uganda follows 7-6-3*. Education System; pre-Primary Education is optional and still considered a luxury. Public education Funding policy tools are; UPE, 1997; USE & UPLET, 2007; and University National Merits Sponsorships, District Quota, Loan Scheme & Cost Sharing!<\/span><\/h6>\n
PLE 2022 Statistics:\u00a0\u201cAn estimated 1.8 million learners joined Primary One (P.1) in 2016, and 7 years later, 1 million children had fallen off the grid with only 832,000 registered for Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) in 2022; posing a drop-out rate of 56% in 7 school years. This has been the trend in Uganda regardless of how far back you dig\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/h6>\n
WENET survey, 2023; Mafubira Ward, Jinja City: \u201cAdult Literacy stands at 3 per 5 individuals\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/h6>\n
Government introduced the Competency & Skills based Learning Curriculum in 2020. For rural communities however, the funding policy tools and competence are still challenged; low teacher-student Ratio, weak school Management structures, limited availability of competitive teaching-learning Resources, inadequate Classrooms, learner Absenteeism, alarming school Dropout rates, large sized Classes, and regionally biased opportunities to inclusive education!<\/span><\/h6>\n

Education is the universal empowerment tool; WENET amplifies opportunities for inclusive & equitable quality Education; aiming to enable upward socioeconomic mobility, as key to escaping poverty; the outcome being individual & community transformation.
