Environmental Health & Climate Change Action
Why Today? “Tomorrow Is Too Late”
Global Worming, Climate Change, Water Pollution & loss of Biodiversity are global. For Uganda, this extends to Deforestation, drainage of Wetlands, poor Agricultural practices, Charcoal Burning, and concerns on management of non-biodegradable Wastes; ‘‘every family generates more than 2kg of Plastic waste weekly; less than 5% is Recycled and, 57% collected; 43% drained or burned”; release of Pollutants, Toxins & greenhouse gases.
WENET partners with 18 Schools & 9 community Groups; and keeps touch with absolute rural illiterates, who; “perceive environmental health & climate action as extravagant demonstration of power by the civilized or simply bureaucratic routines of local Government”
No Action Now Means “Immorality of The 21st Century”
